Decision of the Press Council

The Council decided to admit the appeal on the grounds that it offered additional information which the council decided merited further consideration.

Following lengthy consideration the Council concluded that the additional information did not materially alter the evidence placed before the Ombudsman. It therefore decided not to allow the appeal.

The decision of the Ombudsman was upheld.
