The Office of the Press Ombudsman is part of a new system of independent regulation for the printed media. The Press Ombudsman is Professor John Horgan, and he is the public face of Irish press regulation.  Complaints about possible breaches of the Code of Practice are made to the Press Ombudsman. The Ombudsman’s Office will, in the first instance, attempt to resolve the matter by making direct contact with the publication concerned.
